Samsung Galaxy S, the fourth smart phone in the Galaxy series is finally out in the market. Fascinate as it is called by the Verizon Wireless mobile has a 4 inch AMOLED display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and it’s based on Android 2.1 Eclair. A complete Samsung Fascinate review is done in the next few lines. The phone has a nice build quality and the touch screen is quite responsive. The dimensions of Samsung Fascinate makes it fit well in the palms of any user of the phone. This phone comes bundled with a 16GB Class 2 micro SD card, detachable chord micro USB wall charger, user guide and a 1500mAh battery. With this phone matching in the design almost like the Samsung Vibrant, it gives an iPhone feel in the hand. The phone is just 0.39 inches thick which makes it easy to fit in the pocket or carry in the hand. It supports a plastic black coloured back cover which is sturdy but bit slippery which makes the phone bit difficult to operate in moist conditions. The touch keys at the front bottom of the phone are also well placed and useful. Overall it is a nice looking phone with some good ergonomics which makes this phone a trade mark in the Galaxy series of handsets by Samsung.

After doing an in-depth Samsung Fascinate review we can say about the phone that except many other features of the Samsung Fascinate, the most vibrant of all is the AMOLED display which gives this phone its uniqueness. It’s a 4 inch 480X800 pixels screen which displays graphics in saturated colours and outstanding contrasts making this phone easy to operate even in the open bright conditions. The touch buttons placed at far bottom corner of the display for menu, home, back and search comes in handy too. They are excellent options to jump between the opened applications on the phone. They are also well placed at the bottom where the chances of an accidental press are less. But there’s a problem with these buttons on the Samsung Fascinate, the backlight of these buttons only light for 2 seconds making it difficult to operate in dark conditions. There is not even any method of increasing the period of the backlight for these touch sensitive buttons. Besides these, the volume rocker is placed on the left side of the phone and the power/lock button with a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB port on the top. There’s a 5MP camera with a LED flash and a speaker at the back of the phone. The micro SD card slot can be revealed by opening up the battery cover. As any other phone this Samsung Galaxy runs on an Android operating system, the 2.1 Eclair precisely which may not be the latest Google has to offer but it supports almost all of the Android market apps. There are millions of apps for the Android platform and more coming each passing day. The Samsung Fascinate offers an appreciable experience of all these applications on a vibrant AMOLED display which sets this phone a class apart from others in the price range. Samsung Fascinate review makes it clear that the phone is good enough for both office and personnel use making it a versatile smart phone.
